Preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe will kick off today in Uyo for the Super Eagles.
The team’s initial training session is scheduled for 5 pm at the practice field of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The full complement of all 23 invited players is anticipated to be present.
Although the Super Eagles have already secured their spot in the 2023 AFCON finals, they aim to conclude their qualifying campaign on a positive note.
A single point in the upcoming match will ensure that Jose Peseiro’s squad finishes at the top of Group A, ahead of Guinea-Bissau, who have also secured their berth in the competition.
The clash against Guinea-Bissau is set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.
