The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Nigeria’s Vice-President, Kashim Shettima, met in Abuja on Saturday (today).
This is one of the rare meetings between Atiku and Shettima since legal disputes began over the 2023 General Elections.
The wedding attended by the two political gladiators was between Mohammed (Ameer) Bunu and Ikramullah Jamal Arabi, this news platform understands.
Atiku and Shettima, however, set aside political differences as they exchanged pleasantries at the wedding ceremony held at the Al-Nur Mosque in the nation’s capital where Maj General Babagana Monguno (rtd), former National Security Adviser, Prof Ali Isa Pantami, immediate Past Minister of Communication and Digital Economy; and other prominent personalities registered their presents.
Recall that Atiku, a former Vice Presidential, was defeated by Shettima’s principal, President Bola Ahmed, on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.
Atiku, however, is currently challenging the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), under which Shettima ran on a joint ticket with President Tinubu.
